Lutheran Schools Week

This year is the 175th year of Lutheran Schools in Australia. Lutheran schools have been a place of education for a long time in Australia and to celebrate this we are doing a number of things as a school.
The theme for National Lutheran Schools Week is: Tree of Life. This Friday we are having Worship and Praise service to celebrate this. You are welcome to come along and be part of the celebration.
Next week the Senior Unit will be travelling to Faith in Tanunda to participate in a combined Lutheran Schools service. It is a great opportunity for the children to worship with other students from around the district who attend Lutheran schools.

Here is a little more about the Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is the theme for this significant year of celebration for Lutheran schools. ‘In the magnificent natural sign of the tree, God showed us from the beginning the sign of the cross. He planted the image in the Garden of Eden; he suspended it over the earth at the crucifixion; he established the tree eternally in the orchards of the new earth, watered by the river flowing from his throne. The tree of life spans the Bible from Genesis to the final Book of Revelation where it appears in the visionary city of Jerusalem, once more in association with the water of life.’

We are proud to be a Lutheran school and of our heritage. The following photo is one of the earliest of Lutheran schools in Australia.
