Last Week of the Year
The last school week for 2014 is underway and it will be a doozy.
There are still many things going on this week but also a time to relax and enjoy each others company before moving off in different direction in 2015.
Some things of note for the next few days:
Tuesday: This is Reward Day from the Senior Unit teachers to the Senior Unit students. As part of this day we will be providing a couple pieces of pizza and a drink for lunch. If you need more or don't like that please bring what you need.
As it is a reward day children can bring in games to play (board). We will have a couple of Wiis set up to play and also some "Minute To Win It" type activities. It should be a fun time to celebrate together the year we have had.
As part of this students should wear sport gear.
Reports come home this day.
Wednesday: The big thing for this day is Transition. Children will have the chance to spend time with their teacher for 2015. So what happens with the Year 7's. You will be taken away to an undisclosed location and entertained there while the transition occurs. Continuing to clean up and organise will be part of the day too. Normal sports day attire.
Thursday: Last day of the term. Wear sports gear so you can save your formal uniform for the night. See what happens, as it is the last day of term I am sure we will be practising for end of year service and finishing packing up.
Thursday Night: End of year service beginning at 7.00pm. Please be at the Unit no later than 6.45pm
This week also sees the successful Girls T20 cricket team taking off to Melbourne to compete in the national championship. They leave on Wednesday and compete on Thursday. We wish them all the best as they compete on a national stage. Enjoy the opportunity girls and do your best.
